Our AGM is coming up !

As a gentle reminder, our Annual General Meeting (AGM) is fast approaching. It’s scheduled for next Monday, a week from today, and will commence at 7:00 PM at the Aurrie.

This is an excellent opportunity for all of us to come together, discuss our community’s progress, and plan for the future, together.

So, come along even if you have not been involved so far – your voice matters or just come to hear what we’ve been up to and what we hope to do in the future.

Additionally, I would like to extend a continued invitation to all to our Warm Welcome Days.

These events are a fantastic way to engage with our community, the core of Warm Welcome Days is about fostering community spirit, building stronger bonds among community members, and creating an environment of support and mutual respect.

We accept donations for all refreshments which will make these sessions last longer and stay sustainable, so your support matters !

Here are the details:

  • Tuesdays: Simpson Institute, 11am-1pm
  • Wednesdays: Largo Library, Lundin Links featuring Bingo from 11:30am or come along and borrow a book first when the Library opens at 10am 🥐
  • Last Sunday: ‘Souper’ Sunday at Durham Hall everyone welcome at the church service or you can join afterwards. 🥄

A huge thanks to everyone who makes these events what they are !

We would also like to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended the fascinating Antarctica Talk by Janice Duncan on Saturday night that raised money for Friends of Largo Bay (and to Janice of course for sharing her wonderful adventures) .

Your presence and engagement made the event a memorable one and it sold out so quickly we didn’t need to advertise it !

As always your participation and support of these events is invaluable. And lastly a huge thanks to everyone who thoughtfully fed back on the Local Place Plan we are hugely grateful for your time in this.

We look forward to seeing you soon, if you want to get in touch just email [email protected] .

A few updates

At our next (and final Build Our Place Plan) workshop, we’ll explore the natural environment, conservation, and recreation.

Join us, no special knowledge required just curiosity!

As a community we are exploring how to manage natural spaces including Land, Rivers, and Sea and connections to wild spaces  for today and the future and considering the needs of people who live here.

Let’s explore what’s here now and what’s possible.

In addition, we will look at how this connects with  groups and organisations that can help.

We will gather on Wednesday, June 21st, we will begin at 6:30pm at Durham Hall in Lower Largo. Feel free to come along, settle in and enjoy a cup of tea anytime from 6pm

Although it’s usually a little earlier, we will definitely wrap up by 9pm.

Tea, coffee, and biscuits are always available!

Follow the link below to let us know if you can attend.

Tell anyone you think would be interested who is not on our mailing list about the event.

Please let us know in advance if you require any assistance to participate.

Thank you.

(We are also always looking for people to take things forward so let us know if you can help with any of our projects by replying to this email.)
